Sweater Vest Sweetheart

Is anyone else living for this new sweater vest trend? I absolutely adore it, its so sweet! I'm wondering if this means I now have a valid excuse to raid my granddads wardrobe for cute knits? I love to layer my clothes already, so to have a cute little vest over a shirt, I'm in heaven!

I'll admit that sweater vests are a little Chandler Bing and I'm not sure if that's cool or not? But sometimes I like to think of myself as a little bit Chandleresque. I too can be 'blah' at times, I would also like to think my humour is underrated and I'm just as hilarious (often the brunt of jokes), so I think I'll take that.

This look is so preppy, I feel like I'm on the set on Gossip Girl and I love it. The oversized collars with the sweater vest gives a nerdy feel, but the peplum style of the shirt combined with the gold earrings give the look a chic and sophisticated style.

Wearing a sweater vest doesn't always have to be a cute girly outfit, I've casually thrown it over an entirely black outfit which I think it a great contrast with the vest. I personally think this would would look great with a long camel coat over the top.

I like the minimalist look of this, it simple to throw together, it looks great!
