Hi, I’m Hollie! I’m 24 and I work in sales which is so much fun, although I have a immense love for fashion and the marketing of it! After so many months of lock-down due to Covid-19, and binge watching just about all the inspirational TV shows on Netflix (Emily in Paris is great, by the way) my creative juices were flowing and I decided to delve right into it, and why not, hey?
Fashion has always excited me, I have my own quirky style while also adhering to the catwalk and high street current fashions.
I love that clothing styles can be completely subjective and there is no right or wrong. If you look good and feel good then that’s what matters most, and that’s what I’m about. I want to empower, not criticise! It really is an art form, you can completely transform a look from scary to pretty, to sophisticated, to sexy, and I love the flexibility of that. I think it’s only right for me to state that I have a (Bratz quote) passion for fashion!
I am originally a make up artist and so I only have a small insight into the industry through make-up but fashion is a whole other realm for me and I can’t wait to explore it.
Most of the clothes I wear are high street or second hand, I wish I could afford Gucci handbags or Chanel sunglasses, but we can’t have it all, so I want to focus mostly on accessible goods which anyone can get their hands on! You’ll soon see that I LOVE accessories and have to dress all my outfits along with hats, bags or jewellery.
As a teen I was obsessed with watching Lauren Conrad’s reality TV life in The Hills, and quickly became obsessed with Whitney Port, even now I read all of her blog posts and follow her Instagram regularly, she has the best style and isn’t afraid of stepping out of the current trends, which is what I love most about her. She really is my absolute idol and I quite like to think I’m stepping in her footsteps by doing this. I would say I’m more of an Ugly Betty than a Whitney though, as I’m exactly 5ft, with a lot of curve, which sets me apart from the catwalk stereotypes of the fashion world. You know what they say, good things come in small, curvy packages ;)
So with that in mind, wish me luck!
Lots of love, Hol x
